This Privacy Policy explains how Chasefolio handles personal data when you use the Chasefolio iOS app and its associated account and backend services.
It applies specifically to Chasefolio. The general ScopeTools Terms of Service apply separately.
1. Scope and controller
The controller responsible for the processing described in this policy is:
Fair Price Consulting CommVTrading as ScopeTools
Enterprise number: BE1001409984

2. Data we process
Depending on the features you use, Chasefolio processes the following categories:
- Account data: email address, account identifier and authentication metadata used to create and secure your account.
- Collection and inventory data: cards, graded slabs, sealed products, quantities, condition, collections and personal inventory locations.
- Transaction and portfolio data: purchase prices, sales information, transaction dates, stock corrections and calculated cost or portfolio information.
- Preferences: language, display and notification preferences.
- Push information: an Expo push token, app version and delivery status when you enable push notifications.
- Technical information: limited technical, security and error logs needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service.
- Support information: your email address and any information you voluntarily include when contacting support.
- Export data: account and inventory information included in an export file you request.
Chasefolio does not require you to upload personal photos or media as part of the supported inventory workflow.
3. Why we use this data
- Create, authenticate and secure your account.
- Save and synchronize your collection and inventory.
- Provide portfolio, transaction and cost-basis features.
- Deliver notifications you enable using available market data.
- Create requested exports and carry out account deletion.
- Prevent misuse, investigate problems and protect the service.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Market information is indicative and is not financial or investment advice.
4. Legal grounds
Under the GDPR, the legal ground depends on the processing:
- Performance of a contract for account, synchronization, inventory, portfolio, export and deletion features you request.
- Legitimate interests for proportionate security, abuse prevention, service reliability and troubleshooting, balanced against your rights.
- Consent where required, including device-level permission for push notifications. You can withdraw permission in iOS or disable notifications in Chasefolio.
- Legal obligation when processing is necessary to meet an applicable legal requirement.
5. Providers and recipients
We use providers only where needed to run Chasefolio:
| Provider | Role | Relevant data |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, Edge Functions, storage and technical logs | Account, inventory, transaction, preference and limited technical data |
| Expo | App updates and push-notification delivery | Push token, app version, delivery and limited technical data |
| Apple | App Store distribution, StoreKit where used, and Apple Push Notification service | Data Apple processes under its own terms, plus push-delivery information |
Catalog, image and market-data sources provide product information to Chasefolio. They are distinct from account service providers; Chasefolio does not need to send your personal inventory or purchase history to them merely to retrieve shared catalog or market information.
If a transactional email provider is introduced, this policy will identify it before that provider is used to process Chasefolio account data.
6. Tracking and advertising
ScopeTools does not sell Chasefolio personal data or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Chasefolio does not use an advertising identifier or integrate advertising networks. Limited product, delivery, security or error events may still be processed where needed to operate and protect the service; these operational events are not used to build advertising profiles.
7. Retention
Account and inventory data is retained while your Chasefolio account exists, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
When you delete your account, active account and inventory records under Chasefolio’s control are scheduled for deletion. Residual copies may remain temporarily in provider backups or security logs until those systems rotate or the data is no longer needed for security. We do not promise immediate deletion from every backup.
Support correspondence and legally required business administration may be retained separately for as long as needed for the support relationship or applicable legal obligations. We do not state fixed retention periods here where they have not yet been formally verified.
8. Export, deletion and privacy requests
- You can export your account data from within Chasefolio.
- You can delete your Chasefolio account from within the app.
- You can send a privacy request to support@scopetools.pro.
Export files may contain personal inventory and transaction information. You are responsible for protecting exported files after saving or sharing them.
9. Security
Chasefolio uses account-based access controls, Row Level Security and owner separation to restrict each user’s inventory. Connections to backend services are secured in transit, and elevated server-side capabilities are limited to functions that require them. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique account credential and protect your device and export files.
10. International data transfers
Some service providers may process data in countries outside Belgium or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR transfer restrictions apply, ScopeTools relies on an applicable legal transfer mechanism and contractual protections. The precise processing regions and safeguards depend on the production configuration and provider agreements in effect when Chasefolio launches.
11. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion;
- restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive portable data where applicable;
- withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and
- lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, including the Belgian Data Protection Authority where applicable.
Contact support@scopetools.pro to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Children
Chasefolio is not directed at children who cannot lawfully consent to the processing of their personal data. Where applicable law requires consent from a parent or guardian, the user must have that consent before creating an account. If you believe a child’s data has been provided without valid authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Chasefolio or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide a prominent in-app or service notice before a material change takes effect.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@scopetools.pro.
